Seems that the Taliban played the US like a borrowed violin. The Taliban are very clever at the PR game. They knew that the administration needed something to take away the headline bashing caused by the VA fiasco, so they offered an outlandish trade. We blinked, they win.
Our complicit press will show the magnificence of our President and team in securing this negotiation as a brilliant play when in fact we were played by the Taliban.
