The amendment by conservative GOP Rep. Dana Rohrabacher of California—the first state to legalize medical marijuana—came as almost half the states have legalized marijuana for medical uses, such as improving the appetites of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. …

That’s not Rohrabacher’s basis though.

Today’s troubles make pot look like a relatively small issue.

Really? The border is not secure, the IRS is targeting Conservatives, Govt agencies are arming up swat teams and veterans are being denied healthcare but what moves Republicans to act fast is protecting States with druggies who want to get high....interesting priorities.

So, when you are prescribed medical marijuana, will this be used as a backdoor method causing you loose your right to own a firearm? It would seem very easy for some anti-gun bureaucrat to change this statement...

ATF Form 4473-1
e. Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?

...to this statement...

e. Are you a user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?

Don't trust government. They want a disarmed America. They continually demonstrate this through words and deeds.

Our county just approved a medical marijuana farm last night - the new “growth industry.” (15 to 20 jobs) which will ultimately spawn a new name for Freeport - “Freepot.” /s

Excerpt:

“There’s not a whole lot of new American industries that are spawning like this that are going to grow like this,” President Jeff Basler said in the meeting. “You gotta get one.”

Opponents said that marijuana is regulated too loosely by the states

Opponents should keep their noses out of the business of states other than their own.

"The heart and soul of the Republican party is that pro-freedom, individual philosophy that Reagan talked about," said Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.), the primary Republican pushing the amendment.

Not THAT'S funny.
