He doesn't really think criticizing the President is treason. Nobody (not even Boob Beckel) is that stupid. He's merely feigning indignation for dramatic effect. He's on The Five for exactly that reason. Roger Ailes knows what he's doing.

And it works out well as a business arrangement because Beckel really, really needs that job. After all, everything else in Beckel's miserable life has been one humiliating yet hilarious failure after another. ;-)
