BLS inflation calculator puts that price at $3,119.37, i.e. when $225 in 1929 dollars is used.

If more people knew about what was in the Koran back in the 20s, then Prohibition backers (including so many Christian ministers) would be taken to task as to why they were trying to impose a tenet of Sharia law in a predominantly Christian country.
