You’re correct. I’ve worked on one committee or another since 1985 and my kids have even ridden in a trail drive in the past. Has a great scholarship program for 4-H kids and FFA. But I have seriously considered not being involved any more. Just becoming too diversified. It should be all about the cowboy, CW, 4-H and FFA and that doesn’t seem to be the case any more.
I respect your effort and contribution but it has become something it was never intended to be.... a place for neerdowells to sport their community service whilst engaging in drunken bacchanals dressed in “western” garb or sheik.
