She’d been gone since dawn Sunday morning. I can’t imagine where she’d been. Her 2 kittens scared the bejeebers out of her. She ran from sweet Sneakers.
I wonder if something chased her and she ran away? It sounds as though something really spooked her.

She came slinking up the drive from across the road. There’s a pond over there and the coyotes go there. She may have found a place to hide and came back when it was safe. She isn’t hurt but she was hungry.
That makes sense. Coyotes fiercely prey upon cats.
When we first moved here we heard them “worrying” a cat. After all the noise the sudden, absolute silence was frightening. You knew what happened.
She’s spayed. All of our cats are except the feral Mom.
Since when did a little neutering stop anyone? It didn’t me!
We always spay and neuter. Most of our cats are ferals we tamed or kitties that have been dumped here.
Maybe it was a coyote.
Yes. It’s terrible.
