He has this Gov stacked from top to bottom with marxists. You think that would have happened under Romney?

Yes I do. Rah rah republicans clash with conservatives. Romney's record was pure progressive. There are several republicans who just won a primary and are proven Obama enablers. If I were in Kentucky I would vote against McConnel in the general.

If this bothers you I suggest you work in your party to elect decent candidates.

The enemy you know is far less dangerous than the enemy you don’t know.
That is my only point.

Hey Animalspeaks, I am in Tx at the core of the tea party movement.

Making it happen.

It's a very uncomfortable question for liberal republicans, because it exposes them as liberal republicans that try to force conservatives into voting for pro-abortion gun grabbers.

I intend to see the liberal republican party destroyed. It can get conservative, or it can be destroyed.

“No wonder our nation is falling apart! 3% +- of the population voted.

Folks just don’t care...until it hits their pocket. “

That’s coming, and sooner than the “disinterested, simpleton voters” think.
I’m just hoping, as a life-long Californian that it happens here first. This state’s government can’t collapse too soon for me. They say that most trends start here, well then let’s get to it. I’d like to see it happen while Jerry the Fairy is still in office.

I ask myself the same thing. In the mean time “God bless Texas!”

This is a major victory for constitutional conservatives. Mr. Patrick won by a solid margin over a strong, well funded opponent in a State that is crucial for any sort of conservative national win.
And congratulations for the good folk who did the footwork for Mr. Patrick.
But one good inning is not the whole ball game.
Conservatives still have their work cut out for them.

We have to do it incrementally.

Reagan was a master at it.

The thing that has always worked for Dems here in Western PA is....Bob Casey. At least outwardly be “pro-life, pro-gun, and pro-traditional values”, while at the same time embracing economic redistribution for the benefit of “da workin’ man!”

I am sure not many of their blue-collar voters out here are thrilled about the gay marriage thing. Even though the new Pittsburgh Mayor is going to preside over mass gay nuptuals on Saturday. (Hey, Bill, what about paying a little attention to all of the potholes??)

“Ca used to be a great place.”

Still is depending on where you live and your ability to largely ignore the government. Some days, it’s really laughable what goes on in Sacto. If you want a real laugh, go have a look at the “single shot exemption” for off-list handguns. Reminds me of when years ago, Memphis,TN tried to eliminate “bottomless dancing” in bars. The dancers quickly figured out that if they just wore high-heels, they counted as “bottoms.” Guess some of the Memphian politicians ( along with those from NYC, Baltimore, etc.) migrated here from the looks of things.

I bought my first guns there.
Used to be able to shoot and dirt bike all over BLM land.

It just aint the same anymore.

Funny thing is when I came to Tx I actually felt like I lost freedom, now things have flipped.

We just do stuff different here, everything is private land.

The Majority of Ca are good conservative folks, but the citys are a scourge politically.
Same in Tx.

Are you going to the party?
Are you going to the Boston Tea Party?
Redcoats in the village
There’s fighting in the streets
The Indians and the
Mountain men, well
They are talking when they meet
The king has said he’s gonna put a tax on tea
And that’s the reason you all Americans drink coffee
Are you going to the party?
Are you going to the Boston Tea Party?

Fire in the mountains, flames upon the heath
And the President spits out the news
He’s biting on wooden teeth
The children of the colonies
Got a different tale to tell
I’m going down to the city
Tell my folks I’m doing well

Are you going to the party?
Are you going to the Boston Tea Party?

Bringing back the buffalo to the long prairie
Bringing back the fishes swimming in the sea
The children of the colonies
Got a different tale to tell
I’m going down to the city
Tell my folks I’m doing well

Are you going to the party?
Are you going to the Boston Tea Party?

In a liberal stronghold, I could see trying to go with the lesser evil approach. Texas is not a liberal stronghold, so for any Texas election I’m 100% in agreement with the conservative or go home approach.

We can elect all kinds of conservatives in Tx but out problem is the national general election.
We simply have to sway the liberals to our side.
That is not generally done by beating them about the head and shoulders.
We have to have their hears and minds as GWB used to say.

Yeah I know... GWB was a rotten liberal backstabber. /s

I did not agree with all he did, but hey, he sure beat Obama.

In Tx, the Lt Gov gets the power, the Gov gets the publicity. My guess is he is looking to move to a national scene, and the Gov set at is the way there for many.

I reject your incrementalism. If every liberal republican loses their general election, it won't take long for the republicans to go away or get conservative.

I will work to defeat liberals, especially liberal republicans.

If you support a liberal republican candidate, you are a liberal.

You aren't going to sway the liberals to the republican party. You can alienate the conservative base. And you are doing a bang-up job of that.
