I am not sure where he was born. However, it was probably much more interesting/exotic for him to be an Indonesian or Kenyan than a Hawaiian mulatto bastard child of a hippie chick who abandoned him and was raised by his white maternal grandparents. I also think he probably got into Occidental and Columbia because he lied about his citizenship.
