I wonder if this is what is meant by white privilege (and I think this is precisely what is meant by privilege)?
If this is privilege...long live privilege.
I agree 100 percent
In my former company the slim-ball would get the job because of “Black Privilege.” You see, the diversity goons make sure we would have the proper percentage of “minorities” to satisfy federal government contract requirements to have at least a certain number of “under represented” on staff. . .those under represented don’t have to be able to actually DO anything, they are used for accounting purposes.
As part of their orientation, my former company would parade new hires though the business development area. Usually about 12 or so new engineering hires at a time. Demographics broke down to about 4 white males and the rest a combination of Black, female or some other minority. Somehow those numbers don’t seem to be the statistical norm for engineering graduates. If we were truly hiring blind you would expect a lot more than 25% of the engineering grads we hired to be White Males. Spoke off-line with a senior HR director and he told me there is a push to hire as any minority/female engineering grads they can find. . .and paid them more than the White Male hires and provided a re-location assistance package that far exceeded what they provided to White Males hires.
Talk about privilege.
