I am a high school teacher and I have lunch duty once a week. I have observed the cafeteria workers make students take an apple with their lunch. I also observe what happens to those apples. Nine out of 10 whole apples end up in the garbage. This is such a waste. I suggested they cut them up and offer a wholesome dip if they want today's students to eat them. I know they are so spoiled and expect everything their way. Instead of wasting all those apples, we should not demand they take one, but offer them and if students do not want them, then let it be. Ms. Obama should follow students for one week during a high school lunch, she might have a different perspective.

Seeing the defiance, she would probably want the schools to have the schools seal the exits and force the kids to obey and eat what they are told to eat.

My grandkids will eat apples.....if they are cut up and have a dip. They just look at whole apples like they are some strange food.
