I think a number of priests likely would still remain celibate, as the burden of taking care of a flock and a family is quite daunting.

But I do think it would allow us to attract better quality men into the Priesthood.

And frankly, if we are allowing Eastern Rite, Orthodox and Anglican Priests to come aboard and bring their wives, we’re already on the slippery slope.

Excellent point!

It seems a lot of folks on this forum halve a tough time separating Catholic doctrine from Catholic tradition.

But I guess the same could be said about Baptists, Presbyterians, Mormons or any other brand out there.
