Prices of prepackaged goods may not be going up, but the size of the packaging has gone down.

Bottom line = less product for the same about of money.

In less than 2 years, the price of a carton of premium orange juice has nearly doubled, but you simply can't find a half gallon carton any more. They're all 59 ounce cartons now.

How about canned tuna. Prices are WAY up, the quality is WAY down (unless you buy the "premium tuna") and standard cans are down from 6oz to 5oz, BUT the premium cans are often 3 1/2 or 4 ozs.

I don’t understand why more people don’t comment on the shrinking size of products. I used to buy half gallons of ice cream. Now the size is 1.5 quarts. Lays chips used to come in 14 oz bags now it is 9 or 9.5 oz bags. Tubes of toothpaste are smaller. Not all but many packages of bacon come in 14 oz size instead of 1 lbs.
