That's not a Turkey Vulture...
It is a vulture but it's called a Lappet-Faced Vulture.
Fact is...some vultures are pretty...IMO.

I know I am in a minority but I look at the Turkey Vulture and really, all vultures from a different viewpoint.
Vultures are God's garbage collectors. They do the dirty work cleaning up messes others make.
While they may not be much to look at on the ground, they are pretty damn spectacular when flying and gliding around and they do a magnificent job of their dirty lot in life. With all due respect, kinda like the Marine Corps.
