The truth of the matter is that the average American is now and always has been fairly middle of the road. They don’t vote too far right. You and I are in the minority and frustrating as that may be its not likely to change.

Your "truth" has some glaring holes in it.

30% of the citizens in this country during the Revolutionary War were the ones that supported and fought the War and gave us this country we have.

Reagan won two elections being "Far Right".

I don't live my life or my politics by pragmatism or polls.

If you really believe in being a conservative, best to fight for it completely or just sit on the sidelines.

In part, you are part of the problem since you willing accept and roll over for waht the GOP-E gives you instead of just saying no.

“you are part of the problem”

No I’m not suggesting that I would sit home and let the Democrat win because the Republican candidate isn’t quite conservative enough. If you are willing to let a Democrat/communist win you are part of the problem.

You are also wrong about the fact that most Americans are middle of the road in their politics. That is the reason a lot of more moderate people get elected. Ultra conservatives probably are about 30%. Not enough to effect huge change at the ballot box.

The reason Reagan won was because he was able to attract the independents and some Democrats. I loved and miss Ronnie but if he was running today for President you would be calling him a RINO.
