This latest tale from Hunter has character Bob Lee Swagger investigating why the greatest WWII sniper - Ludmilla Mili Petrova - was erased from history. Former New England Patriot Matt Light and his wife Susie established The Light Foundation in 2001 as a non-profit organization that serves at-risk youth and gives them a better chance to lead a healthy life. In March, Ruger teamed up with Matt in an ongoing fundraising auction to benefit The Light Foundation. The auctions will continue until the 10th Annual Celebrity Shootout on September 23, 2014. Individual firearms will be announced every Wednesday and will remain up for bid for a duration of two weeks.
"Ruger has been a longtime partner of the Light Foundation, and their commitment to our mission has enabled us to fund programs and services for at-risk youth in need of mentoring and guidance, said Light. Danny Phillip Dietz, Jr. (January 26, 1980 June 28, 2005) was a United States Navy SEAL who was killed in the War in Afghanistan. He was posthumously awarded the U.S. Navy’s second highest award for valorous actions in battle, the Navy Cross, on September 13, 2006.
On June 28, 2005, SEAL Team 10 was assigned to kill or capture a high ranking Taliban leader in the Hindu Kush mountains. The SEAL team was made up of Michael P. Murphy, Marcus Luttrell, Danny Dietz and Matthew Axelson. Luttrell and Axelson were the team’s snipers while Dietz and Murphy were the spotters.
