Congress = more socialist. Believes in more central government power.

BJP = more capitalist. Believes in less central government power, privatization.

You sure about that? How can a party that is socialist really stand for any of that?

Here’s something that BJP founder Mookerjee said about education in 1936.

Our ideal is to provide extensive facilities for education from the lowest grade to the highest; to mold our educational purpose and to draw out the best qualities that be hidden in our youth, and to train them intellectually physically for service in all spheres of national activity in towns, villages, cities. Our ideal is to make the widest provision for sound liberal education… Our ideal is to make our universities and educational institutions the home of liberty, sane progressive thought.

Then again, you probably don’t think that Red China is communist either. What they have done to the USA (with the help of the liberal politicians in DC) is inexcusable.

I am going by what Mody accomplished in Gujerat state. It is more prosperous than other states. Probably the main reason he won. Other states want him to do the same thing for the whole country what he accomplished in Gujerat, the state where I grew up. I have seen the progress first hand.

Also, I do not give much weight to what somebody said in 1936. This is year 2014.

So leopards really change their spots? That’s what John Kerry and his ilk think.

If any state or country does not follow free market principles but instead keeps socialism alive, then there is a devious element to whatever economic success they achieve—and inherent weakness. Like I said, the liberals in the USA discovered that with their property and tech bubbles, and that aside from the much borrowing and spending. People like Modi are going down the same path.
