Petro Poroshenko wins Ukraine's presidency in the first round, according to the results of two national exit polls, with approximately 56 percent of the vote.
Ukrainians elected Petro Poroshenko to be their fifth president in a vote that was dubbed "the second independence referendum."

The poll conducted by four TV channels showed that he received 57.8 percent of the vote. The national exit poll, conducted by a consortium of reputable survey takers, put Poroshenko at slightly less -- 55.9 percent of the votes, but still a clear majority.
His main rival, former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, received 12.8 of the vote in the TV poll and 12.9 percent in the national poll.
Everyone else finished in single digits in both exit polls.
A second round of voting would have been required on June 15 if no candidate among the 21 on the ballot had secured the majority of votes.

There’s a lot of bull crap on this thread.....by the looks of responses it sure appears some can’t handle the truth and only lash out.....others just love to fight....I’m of the mind it’s close to impossible to post anything concerning Ukraine on Free Republic without the thugs pounding on any poster who disagrees with them .....I wouldn’t be surprised if they have family members in ukraine and or from that area as their homeland.
