Agree with your post except this part as it isn’t his. He obviously agrees with it, but the origin of his actions is the party. The party is everything when it comes to Leftists such as are in the leadership of our country today.

Democrats walk the party line. They stray, they pay. Lockstep with the party, or they are history.

Obama IS THE party guy doin’ as he is told to do.

Don't fool yourself into believing Republican is any different; look at their actions and inactions:

They refuse to push for repeal [or defunding] of the ACA; a hugely unpopular 'law'.
They have done nothing to rectify [prosecute] Fast & Furious.
… or the NSA's domestic espionage program(s).
… or the IRS's political targeting.
They refused to withhold endorsement of Romney due to his abortion-stance…
even as they added no exception to the party's platform plank.
They refuse to push for an actual balanced budget.
They refuse to hold overreaching agencies accountable; to include the judiciary.
Despite their [alleged] 2nd Amendment friendliness they do not support repeal of NFA or GCA.
They are supporting amnesty for illegal aliens — the hesitance you see is due to them wanting to do so while retaining their positions.
