In an emotional statement, the father of a victim of the mass murder in Isla Vista on Friday night addressed reporters Saturday and warned families that it can happen to them too. "Our family has a message for every parent out there: You dont think itll happen to your child until it does.

I heard this guy..and I am very sorry for his loss, but blaming the NRA when this punk wasn’t even an NRA member is just plain wrong..how about for ONCE, I would like to see someone blame the MURDERER for HIS actions instead of the weapon he used..this scumbag CHOSE to kill people, he used a knife and a gun..will the families of those three roommates he slaughtered with a knife demand knife control..of course not
Half of the victims were killed with knives.
Guns, a car, a knife did not kill and injure today. An evil man did.
My condolences to the victims and their families.

Its a damn shame that there was no one who could shoot back and stop him sooner
.
The cops couldn’t even catch this murdering fool, they drove around following him for what, half an hour before they finally stopped him..I think Barney Fife could have done a better job
Perhaps he should lay some of the blame at his own feet. This guy was a hollywood director. Hollywood has for decades glorified gun violence. Then the same people who make these violence glorifying movies want to take the guns from those of us who respect the weapons we have and would only use them for lawful purposes.
I can’t think of a single NRA member who has ever gone on a self gratifying killing spree. Every one of them has been a lefty or the child of lefties. They blame society for their own failures and then take it out on society.
This whacko was apparently obsessed with violent video games, but where is the call to hold the gaming industry accountable?
The killer had murderous feelings toward women.
The father needs to face the fact that this probably indicates his lousy parenting skills and to stop blaming the NEAR.
A shame this won’t be echoed in the media, all you will hear about is the gun and the “Poor” shooter and how his life sucked..the true victims will only be used as a ploy to take away guns from law abiding citizens
It was the killer's decision and his alone. No time for politics its time to morn the victims
I am sorry for your loss but, you would absolutely be thanking God and the person who was armed and stopped that murderer, saving your child.
The Tsarnovs, previous ilk like the 911 murderers and future ones are solely responsible for their actions and should be held accountable.
Maybe I’m wrong on this...but from ALL mass killings of the last fifty years....has any NRA member ever participated in any of these?
There might be some guys who were hunters and accidentally shot their partner....but I just don’t think you can find a single episode of wilful intent.
They should have two phosphorus grenades in his car and lit a cigarettes while watching it and him burn.
Dick Cheney?

Yes, this form of logic is astonishing. Disarm the population, and call ppl with guns.
Someone needs to find that short video of this atheist jerk and post it on every thread mentioning him.
If the surrounding citizens were armed, the insane shooter would have been filled with lead.
He let the NRA raise his son?
