The humanitarian catastrophe that is unfolding along the Southwest border and, in particular, in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas, is nothing shy of tragic.
In 2011, U.S. Customs and Border Protection stated that 6,500 unaccompanied children illegally crossed the Southwest border into the United States. In 2014, CBP is estimating that number to rise ten-fold, to at least 66,000 children.
Tens of thousands of children are being smuggled, trafficked, exploited and even abused by vast criminal networks to a point in which our federal law enforcement agencies are being overwhelmed. Something must be done and done immediately.

If they didn’t think they could get in or that nothing was waiting for them here, they wouldn’t come.
Only a matter of time folks when downtown Houston or San Antonio becomes smoldering ruins, or when the cartels become bold enough to kill BP officers. The border should have been militarized - in 1849.

So he wants to repeal executive action that was in contradiction of current law. Gotcha. So let’s pass another law that the preezy can circumvent. Sweet!

there is nothing to repeal on Obama’s policies. Current law must be enforced. And get rid of the anchor baby US citizen myth. I am certain these grappling hook babies are going to be declared citizens once they are on our side of the border. No one is going to ask where these children were born. The liberals will assume they were born on US soil.
Policies?
We don't have no steenking poicies.
We don't need no steenking policies.
“when the cartels become bold enough to kill BP officers”
You must have forgot about Officer Terry already?
That is ok, most of the nation has too.

Meanwhile at the border..They come from near and far..
McALLEN - Dozens of illegal immigrants are getting onto buses at the McAllen bus station and heading north into the rest of the country.
A CHANNEL 5 NEWS crew was at the bus station Monday night as dozens of women, children and men boarded buses headed north of the Rio Grande Valley. Authorities released them on one condition - show up for court hearings on specified dates.
“I received the document on May 18,” said Azucena Perez, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala.
“I spent six days walking to be here. I was detained for six days,” Perez said.
Perez said she left her home in Guatemala 15 days ago. Her destination is the state of Washington, where her husband has lived for seven years.
“I’m going to be there Thursday at 7 p.m.” Perez said.
Perez isn’t alone.
Long lines of illegal immigrants form at the ticket counter at the McAllen bus station. Most are women and children. All of them share the same hope of make a life in the United States.
“I came by myself with my kids,” Yanira Aguilar said.
Aguilar didn’t rely on a smuggler to cross the border. She crossed illegally by herself and her two children. They are headed to New Orleans to be with Aguilar’s mother.
“(I am) thankful to God to be here, to let us continue on the trip to be with my mom,”
Aguilar said.
The upcoming reunions reveal a problem with the American immigration system. The feds cannot handle the amount of illegal immigrants crossing the border.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials told CHANNEL 5 NEWS in March they release people who are not considered a threat to the United States.
The women at the McAllen bus station found out about their ticket to family by chatter on the streets.
“They say they are giving permits for the families ... families who bring minors,” Aguilar said.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS asked the illegal immigrants how they got money for their bus ride.
“The agents called our house in Washington. They told them, could you send money to pay the bus ticket?’” Perez said.
All of the immigrants at the bus station said relatives paid for their bus fares.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS is are working with Immigrations and Customs Enforcement to get more information on the illegal immigrants’ time in the United States.
