People who have no clue and havent traveled like to believe what the media tells them. The problem areas are In Bangkok. The Thai islands (koh Smaui, etc) are safe and filled with thousands of tourists relaxing in the sun lol
And you know what I would STILL feel ten times safer in Bangkok under martial alw then any of the major war torn American metropilitan areas where nightly shootings come as no surprise
