The Florida Department of Children (whatever they’re calling it this month) is a monument to government mismanagement. I wrote about it on FR some years ago and at that time was able to find records of the many missing and murdered children, events which occurred while in “protective” custody. But now there is no trace of those records. I know somebody who currently works for them and he said a recent government report says they’re missing some 450 children of the 44,000 in custody. They are seldom missing fewer than this number. But I was unable to find anything on Google.
I was able to find these from 2002 that might be relevant, however if you wrote using the name Gen.Blather back then I’m having a hard time finding anything from the same time frame.
