To the left, people and causes only matter to its political agenda, and the sacrifice of either is justified if the agenda is served. How many innocents and peasants did the Bolsheviks, Maoists, Castro and others slaughter in the name of the betterment of mankind? In their eyes, compassion and tolerance translate into hatred and violence against those they pretend to serve; power is all that matters.
