I wish we would just lock them in an airtight room with a mattress and slowly replace the oxygen with some noble gas.
I know it is more graceful and peaceful death than they deserve, but it would keep the whiners on the left from screaming how painful and botched the execution was. Plus, the organs could be harvested if the killer wanted that.
Whenever I see these execution stories, I think of a story I read about a slave. A jewish slave whose job it was to plug holes in peoples heads with using melted wax. That was so that the brains would stop oozing out after the Germans used wooden bullets at head contact range to kill prisoners.
That was horrible. How we do it is clinical, but it is still probably more complex than necessary.
I have no idea how my dentist and my doctor have knocked me out where one moment I was alert and they were talking to me and the next moment was an hour or two later and I had zero idea what had transpired.
But, it didn’t hurt even a little. It wasn’t disturbing even a little. It was a simple “I was out of it, knocked out cold.”
Do that. And then off them. I don’t even think they’ll know they’re gone.
They seem to be trying all sorts of things, but I'm not sure that they've ever improved upon the Zyklon B pellets that were used by the Germans. Death is almost instantaneous for many and death is always a certainty. And, with gas, there is no need to get doctors involved in the procedure.
Nitrogen asphyxiation would do the trick, and the condemned wouldn't have a clue what hit him.
“I wish we would just lock them in an airtight room with a mattress and slowly replace the oxygen with some noble gas.”
No need to introduce any gas, noble or otherwise. Military people who are going to become aircrewmen had to go thru what was called “low pressure training” in years past which involved this exact procedure. It’s painless and quick. This is what Payne Stewart and his pilot and co pilot died from - crack in windscreen. Give the perp a 6 pack or whatever drink he prefers; he won’t have time to finish more than two sips.
