.357Sig isn’t the least bit rare. Many Fed agencies and municipal PDs use it. Think .40 S&W with rebated rim and .357 business end.

Actually it is a .40 S&W necked to .355 (9mm) the name came from the goal to have .357 performance from an auto. Kind of confusing.

Its sales to the public are minuscule compared to 45, 9, and 40 (plus the common revolver rounds).

Which is good, because then when the TSA morons lose track of some rounds, they’ll know it’s theirs, and won’t blame some unwary traveler.

The next question is whether they’ll start wearing Kevlar vests to protect from stray rounds from their incompetent brethren?
