So, is Scalia calling on Cardinal Wuerl to do something about it? If that’s the case, he should have done so long ago.

I remember when the Jesuits misbehaved at Arizona State University in the 1960s, supporting the anti-war movement and giving aid and comfort to violent student radicals. The bishop at the time arranged the turning over of their ministry to the Dominican Order, and that was the end of the trouble and strife.

Nobody went into too much detail about how he pulled this off. However, imagine the surprise if the Cardinal suggested that the Jesuits needed to clean house at Georgetown.

Something has already been done. Georgetown Alumni have complained to the Vatican, and the Vatican is receptive to what the Georgetown Alumni is saying (if you read the full article).

In other words, the Georgetown Alumni are griping about how un-Catholic and how Georgetown is in violation of Canon Law (Church Law of the Catholic Church), and the Vatican is listening to these complaints and consider that they have merit...
