“Palestine” is an illegitimate geographical term. It is Israel. The Arabs in the area were indeed going somewhere, namely back where they came from—that is until Carter convinced Israel to stop fighting for their rights.
Palestine was the moniker that was given to the are by the Romans and has been a generally accepted term for 2000 years, predating the present Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Israel refers to the State of Israel, not a geographical territory.
