Sen. Ted Cruz went after FBI Director James Comey, who promised a year ago that the IRS investigation would be a very high priority. Yet today, as Comey sits before the Senate Judiciary Committee, he wont answer whether a single person has been interviewed or, really, much else about the investigation, hiding behind the fact that its an ongoing investigation.
What I like about this clip is the passion with which Cruz questions the FBI Director.
He also hits back at Leahy, the committee chair, when hes basically told to accept the witness non-answer. Cruz pretty much tells Leahy that he can accept the FBI Directors answer if he wants, and he understand the non-answer might be good enough for them because many Democrats dont really care about getting answers in the IRS investigation. Leahy noted that his motives had nothing to do with it, but that the non-answer given by Comey was appropriate. Cruz fired back, to make his point, that when he sought to criminalize the targeting of anyone by the IRS based on their political views, Democrats on that committee voted it down.

I’d encourage ALL FReepers to view the linked video. Ted Cruz is VERY impressive and, in comparison, the other 2016 potential Republican candidates (e.g., Jebbie Bush, Paul Ryan) are mental and character munchkins.
AMERICA IS GONE.
Leaky Leahey shouldn’t be on any Senate Committee he should be in Club Fed for his willful leaking of classified documents years ago.
CRUZ/CARLSON 2016!!!!
Too much repetitive editorializing in my opinion. Cruz was a prosecutor and could have peppered him with more questions for him to duck and dodge.
Love his passion.
That video demonstrates why its important for Republicans to win a majority in the US Senate.
Lehy is a criminal and so are most of the rest of the rats and a lot of the pubbies.
This is a gangster government.
Holder could put Capone to shame.
When Cruz .. sought to criminalize the targeting of anyone by the IRS based on their political views, Democrats voted it down.
Democrats can not handle the truth.
