Actually, we lost the senate in 2006. In 2008 we lost even more so the dems got 60 votes and a fillibuster proof majority that they used to pass Obamacare.

The only reason we don’t have union card check is because Ted Kennedy died and Scott brown was elected in his place and that reduced the democrats to 59 votes.
