A man in Winnipeg was fined $113 for walking on the sidewalk in a group more than two abreast. The ticket was issued under Manitobas Highway Traffic Act which reads: Any pedestrian proceeding along a highway where no sidewalk is provided or where the sidewalk is not passable, shall walk as closely as is practicable
but persons walking on a roadway shall not walk more than two abreast. Chris Herda, a friend of the man who received the ticket said, Ive walked past people four or five abreast. Why only give him a ticket? I hope everyone sees it, said Herda. This is a farce. Thats what it is.

Eh?
Perhaps the city needs more ‘revenue’?
How did they know which one to ticket?
This should make parades longer.
"Uh huh huh, you said 'abreast'. uh huh huh huh..."

And I thought Minnesota was the place where absolutely nothing was allowed.
Hey, isn’t it a wild coincidence that you just now showed up and excerpt stuff from a single source?

That might almost lead folks to the conclusion that you were just using Free Republic as a hit farm.
Good thing we know better than that, huh?
Just curious——is “The Libertarian Republic” the only thing you read?

It’s same as with the building Inspector that brushes up on his code book and finds a clause to shut down a construction job, rather than say fix it and I’ll be back!
Oh ferChrissakes!
That’s why the BTK serial killer took a long break from his career Binding, Torturing and Killing women. He got enough pleasure tormenting people as a building code enforcer, he didn’t feel the need!
They should do this at our local malls where clans and full families walk en masse and slowly, such that it takes forever to pass them.
Aaaarrgghhhhh!
Gotta build a shrine in your honor.
I missed this one....
