Define “Reform.”
I support reform too; build strong fences, guard the border, mass deportations, penalties for businesses hiring illegals, and ABSOLUTLY NO welfare programs for trespassers.
Fake.
Laura Ingraham is going to have a hissy fit over this.
Fake fake fake.
Our media is 100% in bed with the left. And the right.
Our media isn’t on our side.
Nobody is.
Bring back American JOBS.
If that poll is indeed the case, then it would translate to support by their representatives in Congress.
Yet the congressmen are very, very nervous about immigration reform.
Does not compute!
It’s a push poll and not legitimate. They wouldn’t be talking about waiting till after the primaries or a lame duck session if this issue was so popular.
Push poll. They ask questions like “Do you support strengthening the border and screening illegal aliens for criminals?” while current legislature does nothing to guarantee that either will ever happen.
Tell them that means, effectively, blanket amnesty and open borders and see what they say. But forget about it, the sheeple will be duped and we’ll get destructive amnesty. The problems caused will never be traced back. Let it come. It’ll just hasten the inevitable, and long overdue, Balkanization of America. I don’t know why I should continue to suffer under laws created by morons in DC, enabled by morons in liberal enclaves. It’s time to pull out of the federal government altogether.
WHILE YOU ARE AT IT, PLEASE DEFINE COMPREHENSIVE. Methinks this is another Government effort to convince us that it is possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
“I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.”
It’s because there is no single definition for “comprehensive immigration reform”. So one person who supports building a wall on the border and deporting every illegal might say they support “comprehensive immigration reform” while another person who supports opening up the border to anybody and giving everyone who makes it in full citizenship with no strings attached would also say they support it. Basically anybody that thinks “something” needs to be done about the illegal immigration problem would answer yes....
Define Reform.
Sure. When a burglar breaks into your home, he’s looking to “reform” his ability to purchase drugs and your ability to feel secure in your home plus the amount of possessions you may own. He’s in all respects a crusader, looking for a more fair outcome in the distribution of wealth and the trappings thereof. In the event you are physically attacked while this reform is going on, then you can further enjoy the “reform” of spending time away from your family or business or both and at the same time, contribute to the operation of hospitals and various medical facilities who, after all, are altruistic organizations looking to improve public health. Or, you could be dead, in which case others may become the owners of things you owned in your estate. Your hoard in effect gets recycled into the broader economy.
Or, you could resist, perhaps with a firearm. Maybe you shoot and wound the reformer(s). Then you would be being an obstructionist. A “just say no’er”. A Neanderthal, resistant to and incapable of adjusting to change. After a period of recovery, you would be able to continue in your racist ways. Hatred would probably build up in you. Medical facilities would be charged with the task of repairing the damage you inflicted upon the reformer(s) and you yourself might suffer psychological damage. In that case, even more load is imposed upon medical facilities in your area. Too bad. That was indeed an unfortunate choice on your part.
Then you would probably be the subject of legal prosecution in some form. Perhaps your firearm(s) would be confiscated out of a well-justified public fear that you cannot be trusted to own nor operate them safely.
See, resistance to change and reform almost inevitably imposes serious costs and other burdens upon the legal and medical systems.
How would the results look if the word “amnesty” was substituted for “comprehensive immigration reform”?
Comprehensive is a generic and meaningless word and anyone who uses it knows that it is exactly that.
But to the uneducated masses, it sounds big and exciting and “our representative must be doing something good” whenever he/she uses it.
Me too!!! I support your list and add the following....”no illegal immigrant shall ever be provided with a path to USA citizenship and given the right to ever vote in any USA election...period. Guest worker permits...maybe, with restrictions!!! If they really desire to become USA citizens...let them return home and get in line to legally enter the USA!!!
To vague a question. It is like asking are you in favor of motherhood?
This is as usual for the msm a stupid question that is non meaningful but allows ‘them’ to trumpet a result they want. It is all talking points
Actually, almost everyone is in favor of immigration reform. It is just what "reform" means. We all know there will be no enforcement of border security under Obama. He will tell his Feds to simply ignore that part of any law. Only what gets his party votes will be supported.
