A new Citizens United Political Victory Fund poll shows that six-term incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) is slightly trailing his Tea Party challenger state Sen. Chris McDaniel just a couple weeks from election day in Mississippi. The election is on June 3.

The poll, conducted by pollster Kellyanne Conway of the Polling Company, Inc., found that McDaniel is beating Cochran 43 percent to 39 percent, respectively. A third candidate, Tom Carey, has 3 percent of voters according to the poll, and 12 percent of voters are undecided.

Conway’s firm conducted the poll between May 14 and May 15, and it surveyed 505 likely Republican primary voters in Mississippi. The poll has a 4.4 percent margin of error, meaning McDaniel’s lead is so narrow it’s just inside the margin of error according to this data.

RE :”I’ve posted this several times: “Conservatives” tend veer left, but the leftists basically never veer right.”

Because the population is growing more and more liberal as the years go on, however most of them only vote in POTUS elections.

Many times I hear Levin claim that Reagan winning a landslide ~ 30 years ago still shows that most Americans are uber-conservative now 30 years later but have not been voting for 30 years, waiting for a candidate like Reagan was his first term, his first term, even NY and MA.

But more realistically last week Rush pointed out the fact that the left can get people fired or take away their NBA team for politically incorrect remarks shows that they (the left) are growing stronger. They are growing stronger Rush because the population is moving left.

Liberal judges didn't force same sex marriages on states in the 1990s and 2000s because they were scared of a voter backlash, but they are scared no more, they only get praise for it now.

“...Doesn’t anyone care that Cochran lives in his travel companion’s/aide’s basement, uses her address as his permanent address, and spends most of his time in DC?...”

Well, he does use her address as his permanent address and he lives at that address...but I suspect that he likely does not live IN THE BASEMENT, but instead lives UPSTAIRS.

House wasn’t born yesterday.

For kicks, do a google image search for:

Mrs. Thad Cochran

Mrs. Roger Wicker

Mrs. Bill Clinton

Which ones of those returns pictures of the wife, and which of those searches returns only pictures of the ‘executive assistant’?

When this FIRST broke I thought the hullabaloo was about Thad’s mother in a home. I distinctly remembered seeing him with a well put together older woman in evening gear in some political article about him from a few years ago. When the scandal said something about her having been in a home since 2000 I was confused. So I did a search for Mrs. Thad Cochran. And found the pic I was thinking of. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that was NOT, in fact, Mrs. Thad Cochran in the picture...

I thought about absentee voting, but I want to see how small/large the turn-out will be when I vote AGAINST “ObamaCare Enabler”, Thad Cochran .
