Hmmmmm - is there anyone who doesn't know that military bases are almost gun-free zones? How about schools/colleges, etc.? How does an effort to get them to do the right thing and put protection on planes add up to a "threat to public safety"? It would seem that leaving the public defenseless is a greater threat to public safety.
