Local police departments are beginning to look more like branches of the military as surplus equipment such as Mine Resistant Vehicles are seen on the streets of small towns across the country.
A report on Infowars.com ties the purchases to what police see as a growing domestic terror threat, specifically war veterans with the knowledge of how to make improvised explosive devices.
"When I first started we really didnt have the violence that we see today," Sgt. Dan Downing of the Morgan County Sheriffs Department told Fox 59 in Indianapolis for a story titled "Armed for War."

"To come and take away their firearms that absolutely is not the reason why we got this vehicle. We got this vehicle because of the need and because of increased violence that we have been facing over the last few years I'll be the last person to come and take anybodys guns."

Exactly right! Go to police one.com and read various articles and ESPECIALLY, the comment section below articles. Police officers often talk about having the “warrior mindset”. They often refer to themselves as “warriors”.
Oh the names I was called ten years ago when I warned them that this war on terror bullshit was going to be bastardized and morphed to where j-walking was going to be considered terrorism. The flack I caught when I told those morons that these police departments were just sharpening their claws on the potheads and the target in short order was going to be MUCH closer to home. Any of those assclowns want to tell me where I’m wrong now?!
Don’t assume all veterans are “traditional”. Most are, but there are plenty that are not. Many just like the physical aspects of kicking in doors and the constitution be damned. Just look at all the crap they do, such as what happened in Boston.
