As I understand, a few school districts have pulled out of the federal school lunch program, which means that they aren’t bound by their guidelines anymore. That’s good to see those districts exercising their right of local control over what happens in their schools.
Good to remember that local boards of education control public education around the country, not bureaucrats in Washington, DC. In many places, these boards of education are elected by the people. Classic local control in such cases, where we the people vote to put these officials in their jobs.
