A high school homecoming game in most cities in the south has the potential to fill the stands with more persons of color than reside in the entire state of Vermont.
There are counties in Alabama that are 80+% Black. This is in an area called the Black Belt (from the soil color) that was a major cotton growing area in the past.
One of these counties gave Algore the highest percentage vote that any presidential candidate had ever received in the history of the country.
