On my recent visits to the South the changes from some of the time I spent there as a yute are palpable.
But I do object to the way we get turned into stereotypes.
Stereotypes exist for a reason (mostly because it's easier than thinking!).
Or as my oh-soooooo-much-more-liberal-than-you-could-ever-hope-to-be ex once said in a total huff, about a driver of a certain ethnicity, "You would think that they would at least have the decency to drive in such a way as to not re-enforce the stereotype!!!"
Well, I guess we will have to round them up and move the blacks out of the South East up to the North and West; maybe a large drop off in Nevada. They are still complaining about the Cherokee’s but now want the same thing done to the Blacks.
I wonder how the Blacks feel about this. You know wanting to live in their home. But this person want to move them out.
Surprised there are so few black cattle ranchers as indicated on this map. After all, they seem to like a lot of bull when it comes to politics.
Certainly, like Mao Tse Tung and Pol Port we could focibly resettle people in different parts of the country to encourage equality.
So, what is being suggested, Pol Pot style relocation?
Obviously the answer is more Section 8 Vouchers.
“The left doesnt like us living in suburbs, and wants to push us back to the cities to live, where we can be easier to control...”
In nearby Newark NJ they’ve already demolished the housing projects as they had become ungovernable. I think the purpose of this push is to actually set up an arrangement where suburbs will be given a levy of blacks which they will have to feed, clothe, house, and school (it will work like the Quartering Act prior to the revolution, by which settlers had to accomodate British troops). The current arrangement allows hardworking people of any color to flee the costs of the gibsmedats, leading to bankrupt cities proceeding to bankrupt whole states; if those “costs” (the gibsmedats) can simply be transported to where the taxpayers have gone, then they can be “provided for”. Think of it as section 8 housing on steroids, based strictly on race.
“And you really think people fearfully watch black men like hawks in stores in other parts of the country? Get out more. Maybe nobody even glances up here any more.”
They do in the suburbs surrounding Newark NJ; business owners of all colors (including black) will watch blacks in their store. They can’t ignore history or the lessons many have painfully learned; if they did you’d mock them for being idealistic. There is little integration in NJ.
As if race in America could still be thought of in binary...
Some insightful person also mentioned this is a free country. People can live where they want, including among people they feel kinship with.
The mining connection is interesting. My great grandparents on mom’s side were both mining engineers from Sweden.
Mom said they came to America when the mines in Sweden played out, sometime in the early years of the 1900’s
Well, the science isn’t settled here. In the southwest, hispanics drive the color metrics on the map. Only problem is hispanic isn’t a race...idiots.
I don’t understand the part of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan that supposedly has such a high proportion of blacks. What looks like Luce County is either in the 25-50% or over 50% category. What would have brought a substantial number of black people to a remote and sparsely-populated rural area such as that?
We live at ground zero. Don’t need a graph. :-)
“The U.S. is projected to become a majority-minority nation for the first time in 2043.”
My lying eyes tell me this will happen at least 20 years earlier than that; anyone that has seen a maternity ward or schoolyard knows better. That date is thrown out there to prevent a panic or reaction. A couple of years ago they admitted more white people died than were born; that trend will continue permanently without drastic changes in behavior and priorities for white people.
“Blacks will have nowhere to go, where do they want us to go, Pittsburg, Antioch?”
Smart of the blacks to realize that the appearance of whites bodes badly for blacks; I understand their concerns...Jersey City NJ has re-settled plenty to attract wealthy yuppies from NYC, and they sure wouldn’t tolerate what nearby Newark NJ has to offer.
And you really think people fearfully watch black men like hawks in stores in other parts of the country? Get out more. Maybe nobody even glances up here any more.
A lot depends on the store, though. Jewelry stores are different from K-Mart, probably wherever you go in the country.

My adopted black children get followed around stores by the proprietors here in leftist New England.
The population younger than age 5 was 49.7 percent minority in 2011, up from 49.0 percent in 2010. A population greater than 50 percent minority is considered majority-minority.
There were five majority-minority states or equivalents in 2011: Hawaii (77.1 percent minority), the District of Columbia (64.7 percent), California (60.3 percent), New Mexico (59.8 percent) and Texas (55.2 percent). No other state had a minority population greater than 46.4 percent of the total.
More than 11 percent (348) of the nation's 3,143 counties were majority-minority as of July 1, 2011, with nine of these counties achieving this status since April 1, 2010. Maverick, Texas, had the largest share (96.8 percent) of its population in minority groups, followed by Webb, Texas (96.4 percent) and Wade Hampton Census Area, Alaska (96.2 percent).
I would like to see the percentage map of
how many go to heaven and how many go to hell!!!LOL
We know DC would have a huge percentage of hellbound...
He was a share cropper on a farm, hardly educated past the 6rd grade. He wanted something better than servitude and heard that Swedes had moved to S. Iowa where employment in the coal mines was available to anyone willing to work, plus a family could raise a crop of vegetables that would get a family through lean times.
Someone showed him how to lay bricks and blocks and that became his profession. He also made cast cement headstones, a few of which are still present in the local cemetery.
