Karl Rove warns Tim Donnelly will hurt GOP candidates nationwide

Karl Rove, the prominent Republican strategist, said Friday that Tim Donnelly will be a liability for Republicans nationwide if the tea party favorite finishes second in the gubernatorial primary election and advances to a November runoff against Gov. Jerry Brown.

"If the California Republican Party has as the leading candidate, the leading statewide candidate on the ballot this year somebody who has said the outrageous things that he's said and prone to the outrageous behavior that he routinely engages in, it will be used to tarnish not only the California Republican Party, but they'll throw it at everybody else on the ballot, and everybody else will, across the country, disavow the guy," Rove told the conservative talk radio host Hugh Hewitt on his show.

Rove said, "Every time he goes out and says something, and as we've seen, Mr. Donnelly is quite prone to sharing the weird recesses and corners of his mind, it could be really problematic for the GOP."

Rove's remarks come a day after former California Gov. Pete Wilson issued a similar warning, and other prominent Republicans have rebuked Donnelly, a former member of the anti-illegal immigration Minuteman Project. Among other controversies, he pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors after carrying a loaded gun into Ontario International Airport in 2012 and tried recently to tie his opponent, Neel Kashkari, to Islamic law.

Donnelly has dismissed warnings against him as coming from elite Republicans out of touch with the party's base.

This is their fear, and why the Establishment ALWAYS promotes bland, milquetoast moderates for office: Mitt Romney, etc.

"We don't want anybody that's going to rock the boat. We don't want anybody that might say anything controversial, or do anything controversial. We must have only bland, go-along men."

And let's not forget that Rove has already said that Kashkari is the best candidate to "lose to Jerry Brown."

They do not want to win, or at least, they don't want a conservative to win. Rove would rather have Jerry Brown as governor than Tim Donnelly.

"If our guy can't make it, then let the democrat have it!"

If Karl Rove and Pete Wilson told me that mustard tastes awful on ice cream I would have to give it a try.

The RINOs see themselves as supporting actors in a National Play staring the Democrats.

And the evil villain is always: The Conservative.

Any Republican hurts the Republican cause in California, regardless of WHERE they fall on the political spectrum.

California has become almost radioactive, and is a ticking time bomb, with nobody who knows how to disconnect the wires.

Karl Rove has spurned one of the great ready-to-mobilize assets the Republican party could have at its disposal, the T.E.A. party activists, who still have a smoldering anger at the divergence between what many if not most ordinary folks want, as contrasted with the “New World Order” that seems to be at the top of the Republican Establishment agenda. This anger would have been expressed most forcibly against the liberal Democrats everywhere, if the Establishment Republican’ts had not been running interference for them in the last four elections.

Instead of the conservative in the race, Rove & Wilson want us to vote for the divorced Hindu RINO who is an anti-life, pro-homo “marriage,” anti-2A, pro-enviro nut.

No thanks.

“If I had a buck for every time a freeper said the exact same thing, I’d be eating prime rib three times a day.”

That’s very true. I’m one of them. I’d rather have a democrat than Lindsey Graham, and a democrat rather than Mitch McConnell. Because the two are very dangerous and vile oligarchs.

The difference is that the Establishment actually means to destroy us, because their interest is power, not the advance of conservatism and liberty. They’re very happy with an Arlen Specter or a Susan Collins, as long as there’s an “r” there so they can have power over the committees, etc.

They see absolutely nothing wrong with a Jim Jeffords switching to independent to thwart conservatism, with an Arlen Specter switching to the democrats after years of support, with Lisa Murkowski running as an independent to prevent a conservative from getting elected, whatever needs to be done to maintain power.

We conservatives are working to get conservatives elected, and to remove those in power that have been backstabbing destroyers.

Republicans NEVER, EVER remove their own corrupt, scheming members. Keep the seat, is the attitude. So we must do it, by whatever means necessary.

"Moderate" Republicans ALWAYS love Democrat rule. They yearn for the days when Lyndon Johnson had a 150 seat majority in the House, where they could leave early to get their tee times, to be invited to all the cool parties, and become multi-millionaire consultants after they retired from Congress.

That mean, cruel Ronald Reagan, who had the NERVE! to actually want to win elections!

Rove's remarks come a day after former California Gov. Pete Wilson issued a similar warning, and other prominent Republicans have rebuked Donnelly, a former member of the anti-illegal immigration Minuteman Project.

This is the real reason Rove and the RINOs want to discredit Donnelly in solid blue, overrun by illegal immigrants CA. They prefer the minority Rep candidate so they put another face on the GOP. They want comprehensive immigration reform so they can legalize the 11 to 20 million lawbreakers. Anyone defending the Rule of Law is a liability to Rove and company.

They do not want to win, or at least, they don't want a conservative to win. Rove would rather have Jerry Brown as governor than Tim Donnelly.

The true purpose of the Republican Party is to maintain the pretense, but JUST the pretense, that there is opposition to socialism.

The Republican Establishment DOES NOT WANT the kind of fight there would be if Republicans actually started to effectively oppose the Dem agenda. Why, they might stop getting invited to the good cocktail parties!

If you want an example of how ugly things get when you have somebody actually rolling back the Dem agenda, take a look at what Scott Walker and the Wisconsin Republicans had to deal with when passing Right to Work for government employees there, or Michigan with their right to work battle. It gets real ugly.
