I hate to disappoint you but our Constitutional Republic has already been overthrown -- there is no arguing that point.
I have no doubt if our Founders were alive today they would say the same. They would tell us that the States need to move fast on the Article V Amendment process.

I have to agree with you that it is insane to "call" for the overthrown of the government -- that is something leftist would advocate.
What Levin and most Freepers want is the Restoration of our Constitutional Republic through the legitimate process already in place in our Constitution.
The Marxist left wants nothing more than people advocating what this guy wants -- so they can bring down the iron fist.
With all that said, I do believe the Amendment V process has a very low probability of success [excluding a caveat explained below] I don't have time to espouse why the process will likely not work..
I will say it would be equally smart for the Several States to put in place a process to peacefully handle what is the more likely case -- financial collapse of the central government.
Although not desired, a financial collapse of the Federal government would allow States to quickly act to dissolve the unconstitutional parts (this would include the firing of vast numbers of Federal workers, revoking of pensions, dissolution of all Courts below the Supreme Court and the sell-off of most Federal lands our West.
A collapse would also expedite the Amendment V process.
If the States don't quickly act during a financial collapse then a dictatorship will likely arise.
