It’s bubblegum pop in blue genes with an accent. My wife's the country music fan in the house, I'm still a rock 'n roll guy (Zeppelin, Rush, etc.. music from that era.)
I keep calling the crap she listens to "Pop Country." I personally cannot stand it. Older country music like the author of this article refers to I can "tolerate" ... actually, if it's live REAL country I kinda like it. But this new crap is just that --- crap.
IMO, Blake Shelton is absolutely positively the WORST country music has to offer.
