A bunch of congressmen and senators are no longer looking out for the people and don’t give a damn about the country, but they are looking to line their checking accounts. The thing that amazes me is they haven’t actually had the nerve to openly admit they are on the take. I fully expect it to come at some point as the political class has nothing but contempt for the average American.

The pond scum congress things are not fit to run a brothel. May they, their children and grandchildren be cursed with misery, pain and destruction for what they have done to us.

sheesh... no rest for the weary... what a gigantic mistake to let this guy become Speaker... so many people had their doubts about him...

Boehner isn't the really BIG problem -- it's the billionaire donors to the GOP who employ masses of underpaid illegals.

They're worth trillions, taken together, and they're convinced that what this world needs is a good five-cent human being.

They intend to turn all of us into that.

Well, it's true we may be toast already as a country, for a host of reasons. That's another discussion altogether.

For the record, voters turned out for the socialist party in far greater numbers both in 2008 and 2012, but I'm not sure they understood they were voting for the things the socialist party has been implementing or wants.

As to the issue on this thread, Johnny's amnesty fixation, IF we're not toast already, the amnesty bill concocted by the senate (or any facsimile of it) would burn us to a crisp.

You are focusing on one aspect of the threat--and, in my estimation, overestimating the intelligence, but perhaps not the culpability, of the business interests involved.

To understand the danger posed--which is far beyond the immediate economic effect--take a focused look at what just came to fruition in the Crimea. Does anyone really believe that the Hispanics illegally in the South West will simply morph into Americans with the values of the Founding Fathers? That idea is an insult to both the Hispanic illegals & the Founding Fathers. It is pure Leftist fantasy.

But, in my opinion, the corrupt business interests you assail, have also been played by what I would describe as Another Variation On A Demonic Theme. Throughout history, those who would lead others astray have continuously employed an effective formula that plays to human weakness. The present instance is but one of an endless string of "successful" applications.

Quite the charge. I have no idea why you would post that to me, or to most people on this forum who are against this invasion of illegals.

My intention was to broaden the focus of what the poster right before you posted; not in any way to attack what you had written. My purpose was to offer additional ammunition, not to suggest that you were in favor of Amnesty, nor the week-kneyed approach of my near neighbor (Boehner), who has been led astray by some of the business interests, referred to.

The seeming lack of intelligence of the business interests stems from their fixation on bigger quarterly numbers, IMHO.

I certainly agree. Have cited that preoccupation in a number of articles as just such a factor.

If you can control what anyone focuses on, you can control their thought patterns.
