Only in the imagination of the Left.
“Standing” includes respect and nation after nation no longer thinks it can count on the U.S. when the chips are down. Asia still has no idea or assurance what Obama’s Asia pivot actually means. Iraq and Syria are both messes and Iran will win the diplomatic charade giving up nothing in the end. Meanwhile “smart power” has been recognized by Putin for what it is - retreat. America is laughed at and laughed about like never before.
