Cruz, who endorsed and campaigned for Sasse along with Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, said Sasse's "decisive victory" is a "clear indication that the grassroots are rising up to Make DC Listen" and "rising up to take our country back."
Sasse trounced his two opponents, getting nearly 50% of the vote in the primary.
"We urgently need conservative reinforcements in the Senate like Ben who will stand with the American people, not the Washington establishment," Cruz added. "Ben is a constitutional conservative who will not just 'check the box' and vote the right way."
Cruz assured conservatives that Sasse will "affirmatively fight to advance the conservative agenda, repeal Obamacare, and defend the Constitution."
Sasse surged in the race when he staunchly opposed Obamacare and called out Republican establishment leaders for not fighting to defund Obamacare fiercely enough as Cruz and Lee were leading the defunding effort last year. The Senate Conservatives Fund, which has feuded with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), also endorsed Sasse while McConnell and his allies favored his opponent Shane Osborn.

The only reason Conservatives have any political power in the USA is because we vote at a much higher rate than Independents and Democrats.
If Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, and single white poor women vote at the same rate as Conservatives in 2014, we will be lucky to win two seats in the Senate, and we will lose at least three seats in the House.
In 2022, after Census re-districting, the Democrats will take permanent control of the White House, the Senate, and the House.
