You’re so right. The administration has learned that the most egregious, jaw-dropping revelations can leak out and a) the media will ignore or downplay it and b) they have nothing to fear from the House.
Trey Gowdy may find more shocking evidence on Benghazi. Darrell Issa might even find more about the IRS scandal. But unless the House starts using its power to jail someone or slash/destroy funding for certain agencies, the perpetrators will get away with it all...because they know the only mechanism for punishment (the House) is not a threat.
