And she isn't "mentally challenged" : If the girl was not capable of fully understanding the situation, the local authority would be allowed to terminate the pregnancy if doctors believed it was in her best interests.

How can it NOT have to do with rape? She's 13 yrs old, DJ. Barely a year older than my oldest daughter. Not old enough (in this country) to carry an aspirin to school. Even if she gave "consent", she's a child herself! You want to now put, on her alone, the burden of making a decision about childbirth? No. The "adults" in this situation are driving the bus. This girl deserves only our prayers.
