Sigh....I spent countless night shifts as a NICU nurse trying to help premature babies cling to life. 24-weekers were a challenge. 30-weekers were a piece of cake; they almost always survived. What a waste of human life.

My mother was a NICU nurse in an urban hospital — I can remember the stress she went through. It has to be one of the toughest jobs out there, not only the work itself but knowing some of the lowlifes that you have to hand over the precious baby to, eventually. God bless you.
