That's certainly the tragic-comic language Western US FSLA-endowed union firefighters use when all of California's fire control budget turns on like a hydrant gushing out hundreds of millions of dollars every single summer. They come from as far as the Dakotas to get a piece of the action. Many of these firefighters haven't responded to a fire in their home states in years.

You're wrong, friend. I read it more carefully than anyone else. Everyone else assumed those were your words because you did not enclose that sentence in quotation marks. I noticed, however, that it was in the same paragraph as your invented quotes, and so I gave you the benefit of the doubt and asked you to clarify that you were merely "parroting" their remarks and that they are not yours personally. As you can plainly see, you offended many, and I was far from the first.

So, come down off your high horse and tell us, which is it? While you're at it, why not also offer an expression of sympathy to those unfortunates afflicted by these fires?
