Climate change could worsen American hunger crisis

What keeps you up at night?

That’s the question economist Gary Yohe, one of the architects behind the White House’s 2014 Climate Assessment report, posed to several of his co-authors during a May 6 panel in Washington D.C. Unsurprisingly, the assembled team of climate experts and other academics had no lack of answers, ranging from the possibility of more extreme weather events to the risk of climate-induced mental health degradation. But what keeps Iowa State University climate scientist Gene Wanker up at night is what climate change could do to one of humanity’s most basic needs.

“I worry about food security, both globally and in the U.S., because social unrest happens very quickly under food insecurity,” he told the panel.

The 2014 Climate Assessment paints a grim portrait of declining crop yields, rising food prices, and disrupted supply chains. And that’s just in the United States.

Moochelle will be happy if this were to occur. She’s running around calling the ‘poor’ fatties and starving their fat little children in atrocious public schools.

The street beggar in Calcutta wants to move where the poor people are fat.

Note to the people behind the White House’s 2014 Climate Assessment report: what is so sad is that you can't prove anything in that report.

I also found the poll interesting:

How do we prevent climate change-induced hunger?
-Encourage networks of small farms.
-Incentivize big agricultural producers to innovate.
-We shouldn’t do anything.

They left out the obvious:
-Encourage low-cost energy production

Wouldn’t America need to actually HAVE a hunger crisis in order for “climate change” to worsen such a crisis.

Government food and agricultural policies and regulations are already worsening people’s access to better food choices.

If "Global Climate Disruption" could increase the growing season at 54 degrees North latitude to 150 days, you could double the world's food supply.

I'm all for it.

It's my story and I'm stickin' with it.

I call BS on the idea of a crisis of nunger in America by the MSNBC crowd.

First of all, their guy is in charge. We are in Year Six of the Obama era. Obama is liberal. Liberals care about the poor and downtrodden. Related to that, food stamp use has increased dramatically in the Obama era, as the liberals who run our government make sure that all of these poor folks get their benefits.

Considering that their people are in charge, and food stamp use has gone way up, how can the MSNBC crowd claim some crisis of hunger in America?

I could see them making such claims if an evil Republican were president, but not when their own guy is there.

It becomes more and more difficult to determine truth from fiction.

So true! The other day there was a news article about this being "1984", just 30 years delayed. The article seemed like fiction, but it's true. Doublespeak everywhere from this Obama administration and the MSM. Global Warming renamed countless times. Obamacare has the name "Affordable Care Act" while it is anything but. It seems hopeless to find the truth on anything.

Do we have a hunger crisis right now?

Is anyone in America starving to death?
