unfortunately the load is in your pants..most Canadians are happy with their health care..those going south go for elective surgery to avoid the waiting list...America protects itself, we enjoy collateral security by being next door and would be sacrificed in a second to safeguard U.S. soil.
Yes,until they get *really* sick.I researched Canadian heath care recently and found something stunning on the official British Columbia health care website. It said that there's at least one type of open heart surgery (the exact type wasn't noted) for which patients can expect to wait for up to six months.Having worked in US health care for 20 years, and having had one major operation (hip replacement) under it I can assure you that nothing even remotely resembling that happens here.I could go on...but won't.
America protects itself, we enjoy collateral security by being next door and would be sacrificed in a second to safeguard U.S. soil.
Well, you're partially correct there. If France were to invade Canada we'd fire up the popcorn maker and watch. We'd do so for two reasons...1) France isn't *our* enemy..2) what's the worst that France would do to you? Force you to eat frogs' legs? But if you were invaded by one of Western Civilization's enemies...the USSR,China,North Korea or Iran...we'd be there both for selfish *and* unselfish reasons.
