NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A Davidson County election worker has been fired after problems with electronic poll books allowed some people to vote twice.
Election officials have said that some people were allowed to vote twice because an outside vendor did not update electronic poll books with early voters before Election Day. The fired worker did not cross check early voting tallies against the poll books.
"So there were procedures that were not followed on their side and on our side," said Administrator of Elections Kent Wall.
Last Tuesday was Wall's first election at the helm. He says he still trusts the machines despite the human errors.
"The veterans here tell me mistakes get made in every election. We just think there are fewer with the new equipment than there were in the old process with the paper poll book," he said.

Hi, JJ!!!! Good to see you! And seeing you just brought my BP down a couple of notches. Seeing this report on the news a few minutes ago made it skyrocket.
I’ll take the rise from you and transfer it to me.
Good to see you as well.
They should be jailed and have their voting rights permanently removed.
And how did those people know they could vote twice? It had to be coordinated.
He was fired because the system was supposed to allow voting five times.
I’m certain they were all GOP voters. /sarc
“I’m Shocked To Find That There Is Gambling Going On In This Establishment”!(here are your winnings for the evening,Inspector Reynaud)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No need to transfer. LOL! I feel a little better now. :-)
Hope all’s going well with ya these days.
Indeed they should. But it sounds like they aren’t even going after the jerks. I’m going to look for contact info for this Wall fella and raise cain. I hope other Tennesseans are thinking of doing the same.
People have been voting multiple times for a while now. They just haven’t talked about it much in the past that I recall.
But it’s been obvious there’s coordination going on and they need to go after the folks involved; not just that one worker they fired.
Very good.
It’s Summer in Alaska.
They need to be fired..........out of a cannon.
But of course! Aren’t they always? ;-)
Are there really that many people just waiting for the opportunity to commit voter fraud?
Get rid of “early voting”
Get rid of “motor voter” registrations
Prohibit “same day registration”
etc.
All of these are vectors for corruption. Democrats seek to increase the number of vectors.
I know you’re happy about that after the winter y’all had. Brrr, but it was cold up there. Bad enough here and we’re glad to see warm weather at last.
How convenient!
Did the voters actually/intentionally vote twice, or did they vote once in early voting, and then "vote again" on election day without knowing about it? As in helpful poll workers checking to see who was still on the list (all those early voters) and therefore still needed to vote demoncrat?
What % of voters actually go to the polls on election day? And how many show up to discover that they can't vote, because they "already did"? Or no matter, the machine votes for whomever it wants?
Banana republics have more credibility.
If it’s like the ‘08 elections, they had a lot of them. And a lot were illegals.
In ‘08, a guy reported following a woman driving a van load of illegals from one precinct to another. They allowed her to go into the voting booth with each one so she could “help” them since they didn’t understand English very well.
Then he followed her to where she’d picked up those folks and saw her drop them off and load up more. He followed her doing the same routine for three days, then reported it to the election officials. NOTHING was done about it.
